Why I Started LifeTouchHormones + Wellness

Esabella Tebid Mbah, DNP, FNP-BC, Founder

For years, I sat across from women in exam rooms who told me the same thing in a hundred different ways: "I don't feel like myself anymore."

They were exhausted in a way sleep didn't fix. Their moods shifted without warning. Their weight changed even though they were doing everything right. They weren't sleeping, or they'd lost interest in the things — and the people — they used to love. And when they raised it with their provider, the answer was almost always the same: "Your labs are normal. This is just part of getting older."

I was that provider, working in a traditional insurance-based family practice, for a long time. And I watched this happen over and over — not because these women were wrong about how they felt, but because the system wasn't built to find out why.

Then it happened to me.

I understand this from the inside, because I lived it. My hair was thinning. My skin was dry no matter what I did. The brain fog was real — I would walk into a room and forget why. I did what any of us would do: I brought it to my own gynecologist. Year after year, I was told everything looked fine.

It wasn't fine. What was eventually uncovered — iron deficiency and thyroid dysfunction — had been sitting quietly under "normal" labs the entire time, because the right tests weren't being run, and the results that were run weren't being read with the right lens.

That experience changed the direction of my career. I pursued advanced training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy through Worldlink Medical, and I began to see just how much gets missed when we test narrowly and treat by template. Once my own root causes were addressed, I got myself back. And I knew I couldn't keep practicing medicine the old way.

The problem was never the patients. It was the model.

In a standard primary care visit, you get somewhere between twelve and eighteen minutes. In that window, your provider is expected to review your chart, address whatever brought you in that day, manage your chronic conditions, and — if there's time left — get to the fatigue, the brain fog, the low libido, the sleep that's fallen apart.

There is usually no time left.

Add a lab reference range built around "not diseased" rather than "functioning well," and you get exactly what so many women experience: real symptoms, dismissed.

"Normal" results that don't explain anything. A prescription for an antidepressant when the actual issue is hormonal. I started LifeTouch because I wanted to practice the kind of medicine that finds answers — and that takes time, complete testing, and a willingness to keep asking why.

WHAT LIFETOUCH IS BUILT ON

The LIFE Framework

L

LISTEN FIRST

Your visit starts with your story, not a checklist. If something feels wrong in your body, that's data. It deserves investigation, not dismissal.

F

FORWARD-THINKING MEDICINE

Bioidentical hormone therapy, thoughtful supplementation, and treatment plans built around your body — not a template. What works for one woman's perimenopause isn't automatically right for another's.

I

INVESTIGATE FULLY

Not one number in isolation, but the full picture: estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, a complete thyroid panel, ferritin, Vitamin D — the pieces so often left out, and so often the ones that explain what's going on.

E

ELEVATE LIFE

Hormone therapy is a foundation, not the whole picture. Sleep, strength, nutrition, and stress shape how far that foundation takes you — so we treat them as part of the plan, not an afterthought.

Who this is for

LifeTouch is for the women I used to see in those exam rooms — the ones told their labs were fine while they quietly stopped recognizing themselves. Women in perimenopause and menopause navigating changes no one prepared them for. Women managing thyroid conditions, PCOS, stubborn weight, or fatigue that no one has fully explained. Women who are done being told to wait it out. You don't have to accept feeling unwell as a normal part of this stage of life. You deserve a practice that takes the time to find out why — and a plan built for your body.

That's why LifeTouch exists.
